Hello hello, friends!!

As our last week in Guatemala comes to an end, I sit here and think about all that has happened.

The last time I wrote I was in quarantine, that feels like forever ago!

l was pretty mad cause l was not sick at all when I was in quarantine. Then l was finally out and excited to help with ministry but I wasn’t even out a whole day and got sick throwing up and stuff. l don’t know want exactly it was but I keow God could heal me. So I kept praying. Not going to lie my faith was tested and l was about to give up and come home but l read all the verses about healing and this verse spoke to me.

James 5:15 “And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

There are a lot of good verses that spoke to me and I encourage you to look them up next time you are sick ๐Ÿ˜‰

As I was reading all the good verses I was thinking, and someone reminded me that this is the time to stand in faith and just to believe that l am going to be healed and not to question why this is happening. lt wasn’t easy, but just to take the time as l laid in bed to talk to Jesus and read His word is all I had to do, I don’t need to know why l got sick or why this was happening. My team prayed over me and took good care of me.

l knew He was going to heal me but l thought he should do it right away but again l was reminded that its not my timing its God’s timing!  He DID heal me and I’m doing great now!

Sometimes I feel like God doesn’t always hear me because He doesn’t answer the way I want or think He should. But, if l take a minute and remember all the times He answered, and remember He does hear me, then I realize there are a LOT of prayers He has anwered of mine ๐Ÿ˜‰

So to engcourage you to never give up when it gets hard, remember what He has done for you!!

Anyway, I finally got to help with the ministry.

We do kids ministry 3 times a week. lt was so fun to play with the kids and as they colored their bible story, we got to help them learn their colors in english as they helped me learn them in spanish:) My spanish is pretty bad but I’m slowly learning!

In the afternoon we would go down and play soccer with the kids. We are on a mountain and so the ball would going rolling down the hill and it’s crazy how the kids are so used to it they would just go sliding right down the mountain to get it.

Here are some pictures of the kids we got to love on and play with!

Everyone is so friendly here in Guatemala!

We got to go hike volcano Acatenango (inactive)! lt was the hardest hike l have ever done but it the worth the view!   lt was 5 miles and 5,000ft of elevation and like 32 degrees at base camp and even colder at the summit. We woke up at 4AM to summit to the top for the sunrise, it was amazing. the pictures don’t do justice!:)

We could watch the active volcano. It would erupt like almost every 20 minutes.

This picture is of us all packed up and ready to leave our Guatemalan home.

We are in Antigua Guatemala for debrief for a week with the whole Squad. We are staying at a hostel and actually have hot showers and beds ๐Ÿ˜‰  Yeah after a month of cold bucket showers, it is amazing to have a hot water ๐Ÿ™‚

We are head to Honduras on Friday (17th).    The whole Squad will stay together, and We will be staying on a mountain and camping in our tents.

Probably won’t have Wifi so don’t know when l will write other blog! If Allie gets her way, I’ll have one ready the second I have wifi available to me.

Just keep us in your prayers as we travel and start our second month. Also pray for healing as a couple people have be getting minor illnesses.

Specific prayer requests for me: team unity, that l will be bold and speak up, and that l will enjoy this time of my life and not be sidetracked, distracted and homesick.

Thanks y’all!

And thanks to the people that send me encouraging messages, I’m loving getting those, they mean a lot!! <3

Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Have a great week!!
